Cosmetic tattooists use a specialised digital machine to implant pigment into the upper layer of the skin along the lash line. The pigment is selected based on skin tone, eye shape and the desired look. All treatments begin with a consultation to determine the most suitable style and approach for each individual.

A natural eyeliner tattoo is typically a soft, thin line that blends into the lashes for a more subtle definition. A bold eyeliner tattoo uses stronger pigment saturation and may include a wing or smoky shading for a more striking appearance. The choice depends on individual preference and suitability assessed during consultation.

Unlike regular makeup, cosmetic eyeliner tattoos are semi-permanent and stay in place without daily application or smudging.  They’re applied by a professional using specialised equipment, unlike pencils or liquid liners, which you apply yourself.

Yes, a touch-up is typically recommended four to eight weeks after the initial session to reinforce the pigment and make any necessary refinements. This helps ensure longer-lasting results and a colour that settles evenly. Touch-up policies may vary between Sydney eyeliner tattoo studios.

Eyeliner tattoo lasts 2-5 years before needing a colour boost. Each client result varies depending on how quickly the skin metabolises the pigment.

Yes, as long as your eyes don’t get wet!

Eyeliner tattooing is a form of cosmetic tattooing that adds pigment along the lash line to highlight the eyes. It can create the appearance of fuller lashes or replicate the look of eyeliner makeup. The result is semi-permanent and fades gradually over time.

Common styles include Invisible Liner (thin line through the lash line), Designer Liner (includes a soft wing) and Stardust Liner (smoky or shaded effect). Each style varies in intensity and shape and can be tailored during consultation to match your preferences and features.

Discomfort is usually minimal, and numbing cream is used before and during your session to reduce sensitivity. Most describe the sensation as mild pressure or vibration. Pain tolerance varies between individuals, but the treatment is generally well-tolerated.
