How does non-laser tattoo removal work?
Unlike harsh laser treatments, non-laser cosmetic tattoo removal is non-invasive and gentle on the skin, meaning the risk of scarring is significantly reduced. At Eva Mercedes, we use a glycolic acid-based patent product called PhiRemoval.
PhiRemoval is effective on body tattoos, permanent makeup, and even micro-blading. It works by penetrating the skin layers and liquifying the ink. Glycolic acid features high penetration. When applied to the skin, it deeply penetrates surrounding tissues as well. A staccato motion is applied to the skin to help draw the pigment up and out, thus eliminating the need for invasive mechanical procedures because the product itself performs the work. This staccato motion perfectly opens the skin, thus avoiding damaging it. Having penetrated into the depositing skin layer, PhiRemoval liquefies it and pulls it up. Following treatment, the skin will form scabs and the pigment from the tattoo will become lighter as ink is expelled from the body during the healing process.
PhiRemoval is non-colour selective (applicable to all tattoo colours), efficient and reduces the risks of scarring. A minimum of 2-6 is needed for body tattoo removal with minimal scarring risk.
